a rainy day at Multnomah Falls

The day started with alot of rain, and by the time I joined Shannon & Don at the Riverplace Hotel downtown it was torrential. We started with a few photos at the hotel before taking off to the Falls for the ceremony.

Shannon the bride was in good spirits though, after all is was wedding day.

We decided to try a quick photo down by the waterfront. The marina was really full.

Off to Multnomah Falls. Luckily the heavy rained stopped and it was light showers for the ceremony. The kiss by the falls.

Try holding a umbrella, a camera and a tripod and shoot a ceremony. Thanks to a kind stranger standing there who offered to hold it for me.

And finally a hike to the bridge for some shots. Tennis shoes are a must.

A Bell Tower Chapel Wedding in Boring Oregon

A beautiful sunny February, hard to believe, the grass was so green. And a great day to get married. The Bell Tower Chapel is so charming and beautiful, the light filters thru the chapel and creates a wonderful mood.

Holly and her Bridemaids were alot of fun to shoot, they were a lively group.

A Central Oregon trip to Kahneeta Resort

Michael and I had a chance to get away for a couple of days and went out to Warm Springs area for some sun and fun. Here’s a couple of my favorite photos from the trip.

The hills are so mesmerizing with the light filtering though the clouds. The grass was still green due to recent rain.

This was just out off our balcony of the Kahneeta Resort, such a peaceful place.

I’ve always liked the lighting around the resort. I decided to do some night shots.

Here’s cool one of Michael.

Still a bit of snow coming through the mountains. Soon to wash down the hills to the valley. Hopfully it will not cause any flooding.

We’ve always loved Vintage, Retro, Sepia and B&W Photography, has always been a part of our images we create. We’ve decided to add some vintage wedding photography packages and show the images we love the most. Here are some of my favorite retro images.

Here are three photos are from Jordan & Amy’s wedding in Lake Oswego at the end of February. Luckily we got a break in the weather. Although it was cold, Amy was game. She looked so beautiful in that lace dress.

This is Allison’s from a wedding we did last year. She really had a retro look anyway, so I had to play with this one. She was just adorable.

A little stained glass and a beautiful bride at an Oregon City Church. The stained glass add to the beauty of the vintage look.

One of our cats, she’s a star. She like Vintage too.

Couldn’t decide which one I like the most, this one or the one on the website.

A Yeah we just got married at Oaks Park! A vintage location, great for a Retro image.

Let’s give the dogs a chance. This was the cutest dog. I took this photo over at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden near Reed College during an engagement shoot with Sierra and David.

Kathryn & Ben at McMenamins Edgefied Power Station

It had been raining all day on the 16th of January, so I wasn’t sure if I could take Kat and Ben out for some of the fun scenery shots around Edgefield. But we lucked out just at the right time and got some beautiful low light shots of the tower and one of my favorite spots, the pipe art piece.

Kat looked beautiful in her vintage dress so I had to add my own vintage touch to it.

Kat’s daughter was the flower girl, she was very enthusiastic about Ben and Kat getting married.

The computer is so much more fun than the adult party.

There isn’t a spot at Edgefield that’s not great for photos.

Time to go before we all get wet…amazingly enough we had just finished…back to the party!

Kimberly & Benjiman's New Year's Day Wedding

I was very lucky to worked with Kimberly and Benjamin on New Year’s Day at the Community of Christ Church (http://www.cofchrist.org) here in Portland Oregon. It turned out to be a lovely day. The church has some gorgeous stained glass windows, so I decided to utilize them for some beautiful photos. The two of them we’re very excited and they were so much fun to be with.

The earrings, they always seem to be a struggle to put on, but Kimberly got a good laugh from it.
